Full Renovation Construction Project – Family Home
This project involves a comprehensive renovation of a traditional three-bedroom family home to modernize its interior, improve energy efficiency, and better meet the needs of a contemporary family lifestyle. The works were carried out over a 12-week period and included structural alterations, full refurbishment of internal finishes, and upgrades to all key building systems.
Key Elements of the Project:
Structural and Layout Changes: Internal walls were reconfigured to create an open-plan kitchen and living area, improving space utilization and flow. The staircase was repositioned to improve access and maximize usable floor space.
Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades: A complete rewiring of the property was carried out to meet current electrical standards, with new sockets, lighting, and a modern consumer unit. The plumbing system was also upgraded, including the installation of a new energy-efficient boiler and radiators.
Insulation and Energy Efficiency: Walls and roof spaces were insulated to improve thermal performance, and all windows and doors were replaced with double-glazed, energy-efficient units.
Kitchen and Bathroom Installation: A bespoke kitchen was fitted with integrated appliances, quartz worktops, and a breakfast island. Two bathrooms were completely refurbished with contemporary fittings, tiling, and underfloor heating.
Interior Finishes: The home was fully replastered, decorated, and fitted with new flooring throughout, including engineered oak flooring on the ground floor and carpet upstairs. Joinery was also upgraded, including new internal doors, skirting, and storage solutions.
Exterior Improvements: The property exterior was refreshed with new render, guttering, and garden landscaping to enhance kerb appeal and outdoor usability.
This renovation project has transformed the property into a modern, functional, and energy-efficient home tailored to the daily needs and comfort of a growing family, while also significantly increasing the home’s market value.
